AFC have raided for a second time this summer, signing left-back Zaine Francis-Angol to a two-year deal.

The Coasters beat Kiddy to the title last season before Harriers fell to in the play-off semi-finals.

Having seen them up close, Kiddy clearly impressed Fylde boss Dave Challinor and he swooped for centre-back Jordan Tunnicliffe last month before making a move for Francis-Angol.

The 23-year-old, currently in the V9 Academy, came through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur before signing for Scottish Premiership side Motherwell in 2011.

He spent four seasons north of the border, playing in the Champions League for the Well, but returned to England in October 2015 with Kidderminster.

The Antigua and Barbuda international remained at the club following their relegation from 's top tier and enjoyed an impressive campaign under John Eustace.

Francis-Angol was named in the North Team of the Year after making 38 appearances for Harriers as they finished as runners-up.

The young defender, who can also play further up the left-hand side, will now get another chance to test himself in the National League after putting pen to paper with Fylde.

A Coasters statement reads: “ have pulled off another major transfer coup after reaching an agreement to sign Kidderminster Harriers left-back Zaine Francis-Angol.

“Full-back Francis-Angol was named in the National League North Team of the Year last season, alongside Coasters stars Danny Rowe and Dan Bradley, after an impressive campaign with Kidderminster.

“The defender has also been a regular at international level, with 18 caps for Caribbean side Antigua and Barbuda, for whom he qualifies through his mother.

“Francis-Angol joins fellow Kidderminster defender Jordan Tunnicliffe and Stockport midfielder Lewis Montrose as Dave Challinor's third signing of the summer.”
