Step 6 goal machine Jamie Insall gets Hibernian move

STRIKER Jamie Insall has gone from part-time launderette worker and Step 6 striker to the Scottish Championship after signing a three-year deal at Hibernian.

The 22-year-old started his career at but dropped down the Pyramid and last season scored 42 goals for West Midlands (Regional) League Division One champions Bromyard Town.

His form last term earned him a chance with NPL Premier side and he quickly signed a deal with the Glassboys in pre-season before the chance of a trial with Hibs came about.

Key Sports Management agent John Morris, the man behind Jamie Vardy's £1m move from Fleetwood to Leicester, recommended Insall to Hibs boss Alan Stubbs – who he also represents – and the player impressed on a month's trial.

Insall said: “This is a great move for me – I'm absolutely delighted to have been given the chance to sign for Hibs.

“My aim now is to repay the faith that the manager has shown in me working hard, developing my game and ultimately helping the first team by scoring goals.

“It's a big step up, but I've waited a long time for my opportunity to step up to full-time and I'm determined to make the most of it by doing everything I can to succeed.

“Playing in Non-League football down south has given me a good grounding and, although I'm still quite raw, I've got a real hunger to kick on and make the most of my chance here at Hibs.”
