KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS boss John Eustace believes fans should be excited by the signing of big striker Mani Dieseruvwe.
The 21-year-old, who stands 6ft 5ins, has joined the National League North side on a one-year deal after leaving League One outfit Chesterfield.
Dieseruvwe started his career at Sheffield Wednesday and joined Chesterfield in February 2015 after making just two appearances for the Owls.
He made 19 appearances last season for Chesterfield before a further ten games while on loan at League Two outfit Mansfield until the end of the season, scoring twice.
The man himself admits he needs to get on the scoresheet more and Eustace says Kiddy will give him plenty of opportunities to prove his worth.
“We've done a lot of homework on him and Gards (head of coaching Matt Gardiner) has seen him play a lot of times and recommends him very highly,” he told the club's website.
“I think the whole club should be excited that we have someone like that coming in. League clubs and National League clubs wanted to take him but he wants to come here and score goals, so you can't ask for more than that so let's hope he does the business.
“I've said all along that I want people here who are hungry, want to prove people wrong and want to make a point. Every player we sign needs to build into that.”
Dieseruvwe added: “I wanted to come to a club where I'm likely to get a lot of games, and a hopefully a lot of goals which is what I've been missing so far in my career.
“The gaffer and the chairman (Colin Gordon) were clear with me and said they want to bounce straight back up into the Conference.”
Meanwhile, James McQuilkin has re-signed for next season having been Kidderminster's joint top scorer last term with six goals after joining in November for his second spell at Aggborough.
