THE squads have been set and battle plans are being readied as the National League gears up to welcome the British Army.
On Wednesday March 29, three venues will play host to three unique and exciting representative matches. Kicking off simultaneously, the matches take place at Eastbourne Borough, Tamworth and Harrogate Town.
Players from the National League South and North have been split between the three grounds, with each host club fielding a good number of their own players.
Not just that, but the managers will have a special connection to the club where the British Army's top talent will visit.
Harrogate manager Simon Weaver will be keeping order at Harrogate's Wetherby Road, while Tommy Widdrington has confirmed he will lead the National League's select side out at Priory Lane.
At Tamworth's Lamb Ground, Andy Morrell will be in the dug-out and the club's supporters will also be watching three of their own on the pitch – James Belshaw, Luke Jones and Reece Styche will all be pulling on the shirt.
The evening is in partnership with Vanarama and S&C Slatter, with all the three matches taking place, of course, on 3G pitches.
With next to no matches planned anywhere else in the country that night, it is hoped that big crowds will turn out with entry set at just £5, which also includes a special matchday programme. Seniors and juniors will be admitted for free.
