AJON BENTON brace sealed victory for table-topping Aveley in the dying minutes cancelling out a stunning Stowmarket free-kick which levelled things in the first half.
The hosts’ day couldn’t have started any better as Benton scored his and Aveley’s first as he fired into the bottom corner of the goal within the opening five minutes. Aveley then almost found a second as the hosts continued to dominate, but Benton’s effort was a whisker over the crossbar.
