NEW-LOOK Bedfont Sports battled for a hard-earned point in their curtain-raiser at Basingstoke.
Manager Paul Johnson has been busy over the summer following a player exodus in the wake of last season’s defeat in the play-offs. Nine of his new recruits began this one, with three more making their bows from the bench.
With defences on top, the drama came late on. Sports thought they could win it when Lucas Kennedy-Sinclair was felled in the box five minutes from time, but shouts for a penalty were waved away.
