GORLESTON picked up their first away point of the season at fellow strugglers Maldon & Tiptree.
The hosts had the better of the first half with Harvey Sayer hitting the bar in the 14th minute, Benny Bioletti inches away from a tap-in and Sayer almost capitalising after closing down a clearance from Gorleston keeper Jake Jessup.
Ross Gilfedder hit two shots at Tommy Dixon-Hodge in the home goal while Jessup had to tip a Roman Campbell header wide in the last minute of the first half.
