CANVEY Island maintained their unbeaten start to 2023 with a 2-0 win at near rivals Carshalton, which moved them into the final playoff spot.
The two teams had started the game level on points but it was the Gulls who assuredly collected their fourth win out of the last five league games to put some distance between the teams and drop the Robins to eighth.
