Early Premier League Title Favourites For The New Season: Neville And Carragher

The new Premier League season is only a few days away, and commentators have begun to pick their favorites. Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have weighed in on the season’s favorites.

Last season, Manchester City won their third consecutive Premier League title. Despite Arsenal spending the most days at the top of the table, they succumbed near the end. It was Pep Guardiola’s fifth title in seven seasons as manager of Manchester City, and he rounded it off superbly with the club’s first UEFA Champions League victory, completing a trifecta. Arsenal, last season’s runners-up, have bolstered their team significantly with over ÂŁ200 million in talent, including Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber.

Man City – Voted The Favorite

Former Premier League stars and analysts Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have weighed in on the title favorites for next season, and both believe the Citizens will win the league for the fourth time in a row. They also had predictions for how their old teams would do next season, with both predicting top-four finishes. “I believe Liverpool will finish in the top four.” Alexis MacAllister was signed early on. “They were terrible last season and were still in with a chance of finishing in the top four with two or three games to go, which I couldn’t believe,” Carragher added.

Chelsea Wins The Pre-Season

Chelsea defeated Fulham 2-0 at FedEx Field in Maryland to win the Premier League Summer Series pre-season competition.

Thiago Silva’s header from a Ben Chilwell corner in the 20th minute gave the game its first goal.

The victory was clinched shortly before halftime thanks to a tap-in from Christopher Nkunku following solid work by Carney Chukwuemeka.

Nkunku scored his third pre-season goal after joining for ÂŁ52 million from RB Leipzig.

The game was held at the Washington Commanders’ stadium.

With Chelsea winning the inaugural Premier League Summer Series, a pre-season competition that included Aston Villa, Brighton, Brentford, and Newcastle, it has entered the top 5 favorites for winning the Premier League 2023-24.

Man City Dominates The Premier League 2023-24 Club Market

Given their outstanding season in 2022-23, Manchester City is the obvious team to start with when seeking value in this market. City has won the Premier League five of the last six seasons, including the previous three, and seven of the last ten league cups. The FA Cup proved more elusive, but they showed last season that they could win it, conceding only one goal in the entire campaign. If you don’t think City will be completely dominating again, the value may come from merely backing a team to win a big prize.

Arsenal came close to capturing the Premier League title and previously won the FA Cup under Mikel Arteta. The Gunners are 5/2 to win a major trophy in 2023-24.

Manchester United won the League Cup and reached the FA Cup final last season and are 2/1 to win a major trophy in 2023-24, while Liverpool, who won the FA Cup and League Cup in 2021-22, are 11/8 to win at least one piece of silverware in 2023-24.

Also, besides Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd., and Liverpool, Chelsea is looking strong after its winning pre-season performance.

With the predictions from the game analysts going strong, GGBET is all set to open betting markets for the Premier League 2023-24. While the season favorites compete for the maximum bets, you can even win by predicting the season’s underdogs.
