THE Pitmen faced secondfrom-bottom City of Liverpool at Keys Park looking for three points to propel them up the league table.
Dom McHale had already hit the side netting in the opening minute, before the Pitmen were awarded a seventh-minute penalty, when Dan Trickett-Smith was clumsily felled.
McHale dispatched the spot kick into the bottom corner.
The Pitmen doubled their lead when McHale played in Manny Duku who beat Adam Khan with a deflected shot.
