CANVEY Island kept their flickering survival hopes alive with a victory over fellow strugglers Potters Bar Town.
Knowing defeat against a survival rival at home would have left their prospects looking bleak, the hosts started well.
From the outset, Canvey pressed high and committed numbers forward in search of an early breakthrough.
