Pitmen make statement with Hayden capture

HEDNESFORD Town have thrown the gauntlet down to their National League North rivals by snapping up powerful centre-back Aaron Hayden.
The 29-year-old played a big part in the Hollywood-backed Wrexham revolution, helping the Red Dragons to back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One.
He rejoined former club Carlisle United a couple of years ago, but now drops down a rung to Step 2 to join the ambitious NPL Premier play-off winners.
Hayden isn’t the only new arrival at Keys Park. The Pitmen have also snapped up Jai Curran-Nicholls and Lenni Cirino.
