AFC WHYTELEAFE rallied from two goals down to claim a first point of the campaign.
The Leafe, who included former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger after confirming his signing before kick-off, were behind after 10 minutes against Wingate & Finchley.
Caoilan Mcgettigan wriggled clear of his marker inside the box, then supplied a low cross for Kwadwo Bugyei-Kyei to finish at close range.
Ben Frempah couldn’t steer his header down from a corner as the Blues took control, doubling their lead on the half-hour.
