MALVERN Town began life at Step Three of the Non-League pyramid with a hard-earned and thoroughly deserved draw away at Bracknell Town.
The visitors gave an encouraging account of themselves at Bottom Meadow, demonstrating the commitment and resilience required to come away with a valuable opening-day point and a clean sheet.
The opening stages lacked tempo and intensity as both teams settled into the new season.
