PUNJAB United marked a historic afternoon by claiming a goal draw at home to Eastbourne Town in their first-ever Step 4 fixture.
The Townies were forced into an early change when forward Ollie Davies was substituted after 19 minutes, but nevertheless held the lead at the end of a highly competitive first half, courtesy of an Alfie Rogers strike two minutes before the break.
Jude Macdonald’s side retained this advantage for the majority of the second period, despite sustained pressure from Punjab United.
