■BURGESS HILL’S unbeaten home run to start this season continues but none of the 728 in attendance can quite believe how – goalkeeper Roco Rees equalised!
It was a quiet opening first half in truth. Newly appointed Aveley manger, Alex Akrofi had clearly and wisely set his team up to frustrate the Hill from the offset and that they did.
Hill’s best first half attempts both came from the head of Shamir Fenelon, forcing Aveley goalleeper Tommy Goodger into two very fine saves.
