TOBY HOLMES’ first-half penalty meant Weymouth moved within two points of the top of the table after a narrow victory at Worcester Raiders.
After a quiet opening 20 minutes, Weymouth were awarded a penalty in the 23rd minute, where Holmes stepped up and sent home goalkeeper Charlie Emery the wrong way to put the Terras ahead.
Weymouth then had a great chance to double their lead in the 67th minute but Holmes’ effort was saved by Emery, who this time got the better of the visitong ace.
