Craig Dundas returns to Sutton United to solve injury crisis after Hampton and Richmond spell

Craig Dundas has returned to Sutton United and will be in their matchday squad for tomorrow’s trip to Gateshead.

The U’s legend signed at National League South side Hampton and Richmond before the start of the season, but after striker Ross Lafayette left for Billericay, Sutton now need reinforcements.

Dundas, 37, has made 500 appearances for Sutton and still has close ties with the club, working as their fitness coach.

He has re-registered with Paul Doswell’s side and is available for selection tomorrow.

Hampton boss Gary McCann, however, was not pleased with the transfer. He said: “I have spoken to Dos about it, but the inevitable has happened. I’m far from happy but we must adjust and deal with it.”
