Injury blow for Aldershot Town as Scott Rendell and George Fowler face months on the sidelines

Struggling have been handed further bad news with striker Scott Rendell and defender George Fowler set for months on the sidelines.
The influential Rendell was forced off at half-time with a knee injury in the Shots 4-0 defeat at Salford City last weekend.
The vice-captain ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee when he was at in 2015, but this injury isn't as bad as first feared.
“It's three months,” manager Gary Waddock told Get Surrey. “We were concerned that he might have done his ACL but actually he's done his PCL [posterior cruciate ligament].
“It's a ligament in the knee still and the time scale is about three months still.”
Aldershot slipped to a third home defeat of the season in front of just 1,549 at the EBB Stadium on Saturday as ended their own poor run of form with a 2-0 win.
Centre-back Fowler watched from the stands and also faces a lengthy spell on the injury table with a knee injury.
“It's going to be quite some time and he will have a scan next week,” added Waddock. “It could be six to eight weeks.”
