LIAM NASH’S double secured victory for Hornchurch over Bowers & Pitsea – aresult that confirmed the away side’s relegation and was a boost for the Urchins whose destiny now lies through the play-offs.
The game was barely 20 seconds old when Ola Ogunwamide’s deep cross picked out an onrushing Nash to volley in at the back post past Joseph Osaghae.
Hornchurch keeper Joe Wright was called on to produce a fine double save to deny Bowers an immediate equaliser.
