AFC Fylde chief David Haythornthwaite has taken aim at the National League fixtures, insisting the scheduling does not put clubs and fans first.
Dates for the 2026-27 season were released last week ahead of the big kick-off on August 8, with the Coasters returning to Step 1 following last season’s National League North title glory.
The upcoming season features more scheduled Friday night games than before – including a full programme on August 28 as part of the Bank Holiday Monday double-header.
