■ BOOTLE proved too strong for their Yorkshire opponents as they hit five to reach the first round proper.
In the opening 20 minutes Bootle were on the front foot and the more dominant side which eventually paid off as Ben Hodkinson latched onto a flicked ball and poked it past Emley keeper Ben Bottomley. Just three minutes later Matty Fenton launched a throw in into the Emley area which found Sam Hughes whose header went past the keeper. Fenton’s header made it three just after the break.
