■PATCHED-UP Con-sett were able to maintain their unbeaten home league record with a good win over leaders Liversedge.
They almost took an early lead with a spectacular own goal, when Ben Whelan’s back header went over Kobe Mathers, but the keeper recovered well to claw it off the line.
Consett took the lead in the 19th minute when Oli Thompson slipped the ball to Brendon Daniels 12 yards out and he made no mistake.
