It's been five weeks since the curtain came down on the National League season at Altrincham, but boss Neil Gibson still hasn’t had a day off.
Time is of the essence when you’re a football manager, with foundations to be laid, plans to be executed and signings to be wooed.
“I’ve bought that many coffees and sandwiches for players in coffee shops I won’t go in one again for another ten months,” Gibson laughs.
For the former Wealdstone boss – who had great success in Wales at Prestatyn Town – it’s actually his first pre-season in the English system.
