■ BRENTWOOD scored two late goals to sink Canvey Island.
The game started brightly with both teams looking dangerous. Brentwood defenders cleared the ball off the line in the fourth minute and Harvey tested Canvey’s keeper a minute later.
The game settled down but Kouassi was a threat down the wing. Nzala was a thorn in Sampayo’s side in the second half, putting
dangerous crosses into the box. The referee awarded a penalty in the 75th minute after Empochontsif handled a Nzala cross and Richardson converted coolly.
