WALTER Figueira’s second-minute goal proved a game-changer, as Carshalton put a halt to Horsham’s lightning start to the season.
The experienced forward raced away to slip the ball past Hornets keeper Mitch Beeney and give the Robins the best possible start.
The Hornets nearly hit straight back, but midweek hat-trick hero Jack Mazzone couldn’t poke Tom Richards’ cross past Robins keeper Liam Beach from close range.
