Frank Sinclair returns to management with Hednesford Town

have moved quickly to appoint former Colwyn Bay boss Frank Sinclair as their new manager.

The Pitmen sacked Bernard McNally yesterday with the club 18th in the North and Sinclair has been named his successor.

The former Chelsea defender, 44, turned Colwyn Bay around in 2012-13, keeping them in the Conference North, before a 12th-placed finish a year after.

He left the Welsh club last season before returning to playing at . He spent a brief time in charge of the Saints earlier this season.

Sinclair will be assisted by Chris Millington at Keys Park while Hednesford legend Chris Brindley has left the club following the change of manager.

Sinclair said: “I'm pleased that it has come around now and I think I'm ready for the job, I have been helped along today (Tuesday) very much by the chairman and we have left no stone unturned regarding the squad, the club and the supporters and what is expected here.

“We have got a lot of hard work to do and it is something that I am really excited about and I think it is a great platform for myself to go again and to try and improve on field results for Hednesford.”
