ALFRETON Town kept their slim play-off qualification hopes alive with a gritty win at fifth-placed Chorley.
The Reds’ ninth away success of the season was secured by a second-half double salvo, after a first half lightly dominated by the hosts.
Few clear-cut chances were created during the opening half an hour until a Will Tomlinson corner forced a shirt grab on Lewis Baines at the back post.
Referee Michael Crusham pointed to the spot and Jacob Blyth hammered home from 12 yards.
