A 25-YARDthunderbolt by Luke Porritt earned Ossett Albion the points and severely dented Trafford’s play-off hopes.
Ash Woods should have put Trafford ahead after 13 minutes when he broke clear but shot against goalkeeper Brett Souter.
They had to wait until two minutes before the interval for their next chance when Woods pulled the ball back from the dead-ball line and Greg Daniels blazed over.
Albion defended brilliantly throughout, marshalled by skipper Stefan Holt.
