■GOOLE kept their faint hopes of avoiding relegation alive with a 4-2 victory over a Ramsbottom side whose form continues to decline rapidly.
The visitors fell behind early when Billy Law hammered in a 20-yard volley, and Steven Jeff added to the lead after 33 minutes direct from a corner.
Lee Gaskill pulled a goal back for the visitors from the penalty spot after Gareth Seddon was pulled back, but the home side extended their lead in the second half when Derry Robson had his shirt pulled by Luke Thompson and Bobby Johnson hammered home from the spot.
