KIDLINGTON and Yate Town fought out an entertaining draw to open their accounts this year.
Mike Baker shot Yate into the lead from a free kick, but straight away Kidlington’s Mark Bell netted a superb equaliser - twisting and turning before lashing his shot into the net from 20 yards.
In time added on Yate retook the lead, Brad Norris firing home after some excellent individual skill.
But in the second half Kidlington upped the ante and came close on several occasions through Anaclet Odhiambo, Eric Odhiambo and Lewis Coyle.
