Aquaforce took a vital three points in a game that delivered on entertainment, as both clubs were keen to pick up their first points of the campaign.
A strong cross wind tested the players from both teams but it was the hosts who opened the scoring after only three minutes with a near-perfect start.
A great build up led to Gav Rothery delivering a curling cross that was poked into his own goal in spectacular fashion by the Hednesford central defence.
