LEON McKenzie’s emphatic strike was enough for AFC Hornchurch to take the spoils in a thrilling visit to Potters Bar Town.
In a first half of torrential rain Hornchurch took an early lead through Theo Fairweather- Johnson who turned sharply on the edge of the area and volleyed home a George Purcell cross.
Potters Bar had the better of the rest of the half and had shots from Michael Murray and George Nicholas go close.
