JAMIE GODBOLD finally guided AFC Sudbury to their first league win of the season on Tuesday night – and was then promptly sacked, writes JON COUCH.
The Yellows took just one point from their opening four matches in Bostik North but finally broke their duck with a resounding 3-0 victory over Brentwood Town.
But it wasn’t enough to save Godbold and his assistant Andy Reynolds from losing their jobs – despite having etched their name in club folklore last year by leading the Suffolk club to Step 3 for the first time in their history.
