A JORDAN Watson goal was the difference as Aveley secured a 1-0 win over Brentwood Town. The striker produced a brilliant diving header after latching onto Jordan Peart’s perfectly-timed cross.
Brentwood’s had several chances to equalise and had a golden opportunity when Andy Freeman’s header was met straight by Rhys Madden, while Jack Gardner also saw his header glance wide of the post.
The Millers came close to doubling their lead late on but Harry Gibbs could not keep his rising shot down.
