BRIGG DEAL A ‘SAVIOUR’

BRIGG Town’s future has been assured after they were bought out by a local company.
Founded in 1864 and one of the world’s oldest football clubs, the two-time FA Vase winners have been hit by financial problems in recent times.
Once members of the Northern Premier Division One South, the Zebras are now struggling at Step 6 in Division One of the Toolstation North West Counties East League.
Their Hawthorns ground has been bought by local company EC Surfacing Limited, who have leased them back to the Zebras at advantageous terms.
