OSSIE Dales’ letter (Fans’ Forum, September 17) sadly typifies the selfish attitude of some of the hopping fraternity and I find it disappointing that he advocates boycotting clubs who don’t produce a programme.
As a former club secretary, programme editor, chairman and programme printer (all at the same time often) I do appreciate that at some clubs manpower is scarce, and increasingly so.
Producing a programme is labour intensive and time consuming and many clubs just can not do it, much as I am sure they would like.
