GUERNSEY got an unwanted monkey off their backs as victory over East Grinstead Town saw them register back-toback wins for the first time since December 2015.
Not only that, but loanee goalkeeper Will Dennis ensured a first clean sheet of the season was kept.
The hosts started on top and perhaps should have gone ahead by the break, though the score remained goalless.
But the deadlock was finally broken when Ross Allen pounced, cutting back onto his right foot and curling the ball deliciously into the far corner.
