Borough took the lead in only the third minute when Jack Sammoutis met a short corner with a thunderous 20-yard strike into the top corner.
On 40 minutes Leafe keeper Joe Tupper thwarted a fine run by Jack Barham, bravely blocking his fierce strike from close range to prevent a second for Greenwich.
