NANTWICHTown capped off a fine week with a battling victory over Witton Albion.
The Dabbers progressed in the FA Cup last week and they made a flying start as Witton forward Rob Hopley bundled the ball into his own net after two minutes following Sam Hall’s flick.
Hosts’ keeper Will Jaaskelainen then denied Witton an immediate equaliser as he saved from Tom Owens.
This proved critical as Nantwich made it two ten minutes later as it was Sean Cooke that fired in from Casper Hughes’ cleverly worked free kick.
