A BLISTERING start from Cables saw the home side two goals up early on.
The opener looped in by Josh- Klein Davies on his first league start for the club and the second drilled home from the penalty spot by Jordan Wynne.
Clitheroe halved the deficit on 28 minutes when a curling effort from range took a wicked deflection off Cables skipper James McCulloch and beat Marcus Burgess.
The two goal advantage was restored for the home side on 52mins when Klein-Davies set up Josef Faux.
