JAILED FOR REF ATTACK

A FAN who shoulder-barged a cup final referee to the ground for sending off three of his team’s players has been jailed for 18 months.
The Scarborough & District Saturday League Trophy Trader final between Eastway Sports and Goal Sports at Pickering Town FC on March 29 was abandoned in the 82nd minute after referee Bill Pashby, 63, was left motionless in a heap on the pitch.
