TOM LORRAINE and Ryan Robbins scored a goal apiece in the first half to seal all three points for Rushden & Diamonds.
Lorraine was the first on the scoresheet with a goal in the fifth minute, getting on to the end of a ball over the top to send the goalkeeper the wrong way. Three yellow cards were dished inside the first 15 minutes in what was a very physical game.
The hosts lost the ball in midfield to allow Robbins in for the visitors’ second, driving into the box and calmly sliding the ball home.
