CRAY jumped to second place in the league table, just a point behind leaders Lewes with a game in hand following a comfortable victory over Whyteleafe.
Chances were few and far between in the first half.
Brandon Scott had a fifth-minute shot saved by Kyle Merson and shot wide when well placed in the 28th minute.
The only goal of the half came in stoppage time when Michael Frieter’s well-struck freekick from 25 yards found the back of the net, Merson getting a hand to the ball but couldn’t keep it out.
