■KETTERING Town and the Canaries cancelled each other out in a game of few clear opportunities.
Chances were at a premium throughout, although hosts Hitchin threatened early on with Connor Vincent running selflessly and Kavan Cotter overlapping well.
The home team’s best chance fell to Jonny McNamara, who failed to get enough purchase on a Cotter cross as he darted in at the back post. Vincent also tested Poppies keeper Paul White with two headers.
