TRAFFORD left it late as they battled back from two goals down to earn a precious and hardfought point against a determined South Shields.
South Shields started the game like an express train and found themselves a goal ahead at the break thanks to an effort from Robert Briggs.
There was no further goal action before halftime.
Carl Finnigan made it two for South Shields just past the hour mark.
Louis Corrigan pulled a goal back for Trafford just four minutes later.
And Mark Derbyshire sealed a precious points with all but the last kick of the game.
