HYDE were forced to dig deep but they ensured it will be a happy Christmas after they collected all three points in a tight and tense affair.
Hyde went ahead after only 11 minutes as Phattharaphol Khamsuk opened the scoring to give his side the early advantage over Scarborough.
And it was 2-0 just three minutes later as Hyde were awarded a penalty and Matthew Beadle scored. Dominic Marie made the game safe on 72 minutes to leave Scarborough with a mountain to climb.
Nathan Curtis scored a late consolation for Scarborough but it proved too little too late.
