GABRIEL Johnson’s towering second-half header gave Brighouse a battling victory at Skelmersdale.
After a fairly unspectacular opening period Johnson escaped his marker and rose highest to power home a header from a free-kick ten minutes after half-time to give his side the lead.
The home side knocked on the door for the remainder of the contest, and the visitors lost Connor Griffin to a second bookable offence five minutes from time.
