ALVECHURCH’S home game with Gresley FC was postponed before a ball had been kicked after a fan was taken ill before kick-off.
One of the home supporters collapsed due to a heart attack, prompting sterling work and rapid response from members of the Alvechurch staff using the defibrilator at the club.
They handed responsibility over to the arriving air ambulance crew along with the ambulance paramedics on the scene at the ground.
