TOOTINGrecorded their firstever league victory over Merstham with this success at a breezy KNK Stadium.
The Terrors opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Isaiah Jones played in Mike Dixon, who fired home from a tight angle.
It took Merstham only four minutes to draw level when an Alex Addai cross was headed home at the far post by Michael Abnett.
Tooting then went close on two occasions.
First, Jones had a goalbound effort pushed over, while the same player, who looked lively throughout, saw his effort hit the bar.
